CMAT 2013 Eligibility, Exam dates, Online Application

CMAT is a national level entrance examination for the post graduation programmes like MBA and MCA. The first edition of CMAT was conducted in Feb 2012. As per the latest updates in August 2012, in Gujarat there will be no GCET (Gujarat Common Entrance test)  and instead of it students who want to pursue post-graduate MBA/MCA programmes, will have to appear for CMAT and only CMAT scores will be considered. CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is a national level admission test for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE for the year 2013-14.  The exam is held twice a year in the months of Feb and Sept. Eligibility

To appear in the CMAT examination, a student must possess any of the following qualification.

Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT 2013.
NOTE: The eligibility criteria for admission to Management programs (Diploma and Post-Graduation) is as mentioned below:
Management (PGDM,MBA and similar) – Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration with at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.
Management (PGCM) – Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration
Management (Executive PGDM) –
• Any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience
• Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

 

Test Duration & Pattern

CMAT exam is consist of the following four subjects and each subject will be of 100 marks, having 25 questions and each question each of 4 marks.

4 marks allotted for every correct answer

Note: One can switch between sections or between questions at any point of time during the test.

 

Exam Format

CMAT is a computer-based test (CBT). A candidate reads the questions on a computer terminal and chooses an answer by clicking on the correct option.

 

Important Dates:-

The registration of CMAT is now open. A CMAT aspirant can apply for CMAT only between 1st November 2012 and 2nd January 2013. So, the last date for CMAT Feb 2013 registration is 2nd January 2013. Hall tickets or Admit cards for CMAT Feb 2013 will be available from 11th February 2013. CMAT Feb 2013 examination will be held from Feb 21 to Feb 25 2013 and its timing will be as shown below.CMAT result for Feb 2013 will be declared in March 13, 2013.

How to Apply for CMAT : 6 Simple Steps

Step I: Enter as New User
Step II: Self registration – Enter details to get an 8 digit password. Re-login to the registration portal as an EXISTING USER with your e-mail id and this unique 8 digit password to completes self-registration.
Step III: Payment Process – Either online or cash
ONLINE: Select ONLINE PAYMENT mode and then pay using Credit card / Debit card / Net B@nking. On the completion of the payment, a confirmation email and SMS is sent to you.
CASH: Select PAY BY CASH, print the already filled-in challan and deposit the cash in any designated b@nk branches of State B@nk of India. Within 72 hours, a confirmation e-mail and SMS is sent to you stating that the payment data has got updated in the registration portal. After this, proceed with the remaining part of registration process, and enter details filled by the b@nk authorities on the challan.
Step IV: Fill the remaining part of the form
Step V: Click on the PREVIEW button and print the form if required
Step VI: Download the admit card from the date given
